Born into an aspiring middle class family in Birmingham, UK, in 1955 I surfed the free educational wave that led me to sixth form, college, and a healthy disregard for the establishment. Music was at the vanguard of my mistrust but the written word, photography, images and finally people rounded my character and judgement. I have many others to thank, you know who you are!
